In an effort to discover more about the quilt blocks that I designed a few years ago, I went “library-hunting” today. I found one book, One hundred and one patchwork patterns: Quilt name stories, cutting designs, material suggestions, yardage estimates, definite instructions for every step of quilt making, by Ruby McKim, written in 1931. In this book, McKim elaborates with old fashioned charm on old patchwork patterns, fabrics, and offers patterns to make these quilt blocks. Since I noted only two used books for sale at Amazon (a reasonable price, too, considering the collectible book that this is…), I will include some of her information on the appropriate blocks as I add them to the gallery.
