Indiana Heritage Quilt Show Update

Plan ahead now to attend the 16th annual Indiana Heritage Quilt Show, to be held 1-3 March 2007. You can sign up for a newsletter to stay on top of planned events, volunteer for teaching, and study past winners from 2005 and 2006. Teachers for 2007 include (to date): are Pat Campbell, Susan Cleveland, Cynthia England, Kaye England, Anne Fahl, Kathy McNeil, Margaret Miller, Jane Sassaman, and Mary Stori. Sounds like an exciting line up! You can register for the newsletter to keep track of the show’s progress.

The IHQS also is honored to present the “Men of Biblical Proportions” exhibit at our 2007 show. This exhibit is a collection of 50 art quilts by men that portray male characters from the Bible. Male quilt-artists from around the country were invited to participate. Each participant selected one male biblical character to portray in quilt form, using his own unique style, original design and individual techniques. Among the artists are authors, published designers, speakers and teachers. This exhibit is free with paid IHQS admission. On display March 1-3.

As one of the few remaining non-juried shows in the country, competition is open to all entrants. Their awards are divided into Professional and Amateur categories to give all quilters the chance to compete among their peers for the $15,000 that they will award this year. Non-Refundable Entry Fee is $10.00 per entry. Each entry must be accompanied by an Entry Form,
Entry Fee, Self-Addressed, Stamped Business-Size Envelope if shipping instructions are to be mailed. Shipping instructions will be e-mailed whenever possible. Entry Form and non-refundable Entry Fee must be postmarked by January 17, 2007.

All instructions, guidelines, and entry forms are available at the Indiana Quiltshow site.
