Until 7 January, visitors to the Bob Bullock Texas State Museum in Austin will be able to walk through a special exhibit of 25 quilts, donated by Miss Ima Hogg (1882 to 1975). Miss Ima was the only daughter of Texas Governor James Stephen Hogg, and loved collecting various items throughout her life. Many of her collections, as well as three home sites, are now available for visitors to enjoy and try to remember what life was like before the present century. One of Miss Ima’s finest collections was one of quilts made in various places in the United States, including Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts. For more information about hours and for location, visit the Miss Ima Quilt Exhibit page at the Bob Bullock Texas State Museum site.
