Quilt Inspirations from Africa: A Caravan of Ideas, Patterns, Motifs, and Techniques (Paperback) by Kaye England, Mary Elizabeth Johnson - Like myself, the authors aren’t African nor do they speak from an authentic African heritage; instead, they are expert quilters and quilting instructors who have been inspired by the colors, fabrics, and artistry of African design. While some might have a problem with this situation, at least a book finally exists which shows how to apply some of the very rich African patterns to a quilt design. We need more books in this genre!
