Sashiko: Easy Elegant Japanese Designs for Decorative Machine Embroidery by Mary Parker - Ok - so here’s Sashiko. Sashiko is traditional Japanese quilting, usually done in white running stitch on indigo fabric. Parker provides a dictionary of continuous patterns, instructions for successful stitching, and a sections of fairly easy projects for pillows and table linens. Plus, you learn that you can go off to create your own patterns for quilt line designs. Gorgeous!
