Another Record for Fiber Arts for a Cause!

Oh, I’m so proud! I went to visit Virginia’s “Fiber Art for a Cause” Reverse Auction site this past Thursday to see how her fund raising for the American Cancer Society was going, and I couldn’t believe my eyes…the piece shown here, by Lynn Krawczyk, was still available! I emailed Virginia immediately (at about 2am) and pleaded for the chance to donate…

I’m so thrilled to have the writing jobs these days to afford the donation, as I love Lynn’s work (see her Web site). I think it’s been about four years since I purchased a piece of artwork, and it’s so good to be able to donate to a good cause again (and be rewarded for it in more ways than one…). This year the auction raised over $6,000, which brings Fiber Art’s total donations to the ACS to over $130,000.

So cheers to all the artists who donated their work, to the individuals who purchased the pieces, and - once again - to Virginia for hosting the event!
