Antique Fabric is a new source on the Internet for antique fabrics from the mid-19th century through the 1960’s. While they specialize in cottons for quilters, they also have a selection of 1930’s-50’s rayons for costumes and swing era dresses; lawn, dimity and organza for doll costumers; and silks, satins and brocades for crazy quilters. They also offer vintage feedsacks, antique cigarette silks, lace, trims and buttons.
Flinda Terteling, owner of AntiqueFabric.com, is an avid quilter, collector and restorer. She has been collecting vintage fabrics and quilts for over 20 years. Her new venture began when The Kirk Collection decided to sell its antique fabric collection at the same time that Flinda was looking for a new business opportunity after many years helping to run the family business in Boise. It was a perfect match. Beside carrying all her fabrics and operating an online [only] fabric shop, Flinda works on a limited number of quilt restorations each year. Visit her site and contact her if you have questions about any of her services.
