In celebration of the beginning of Black History Month, Kenté Cultural Center (New London, Connecticut) is inviting children and adults to attend “History Through Quilts” from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at the center, 219 Bank St. The event includes a presentation of handmade African American quilts, and the history and stories of how the quilts related to the Freedom Trail will be told. Light refreshments will be served.
