Mystery Textile Blog

Journal 2007 entryThis blog is a gem among quilt blogs, simply because of this blogger’s meticulous journaling about various textile techniques and experiments. There’s no name attached to the entries, which is a shame because the work is simply stunning.

The very cool thing about this blog (Spirit Cloth…quilting a story) is that you can view her entries for embroidery, applique, quilt blocks, textile studies, etc. through little thumbnails that you can enlarge for further examination. My favorite entries are filed under “journal 2007,” where the writer/quilter/textile artist has uploaded a number of textile diary pages (one seen here). These latter entries are both intriguing from a journalistic standpoint and creative from a book page perspective.

This woman (and I know she’s a woman from her photo - a face half-hidden under a quilt) is truly an artist.
