Sheila Schneider will talk on 17 July at the San Fran Quilt Guild meeting at the San Fran Seventh Day Adventist Church. Sheila has been happy to produce some award winning quilts fitting the quilting in between lecturing and giving workshops. She is also the author of “Pieced To Fit,” the subject of her presentation to the Guild.
“Pieced To Fit’ features border and sashing designs that are built as block units rather than as a long strip. The borders are designed to fit the quilt blocks and the color placement give the quilt a finished look without needing to add plain borders. Her presentation also includes a discussion of borderless quilts, certainly a not to be missed discussion for any of us who have agonized about border design and placement.
